Dentures and tooth replacement

If one or more teeth are missing, a denture or another form of tooth replacement can help restore chewing ability, speech and appearance. At Dovident we help you find the best solution for your situation. In many cases we work with specialised dental prosthetic practices with whom we maintain close contacts.

When is replacement necessary?

A denture or other restoration is considered when one or more teeth are lost due to decay, gum disease or trauma. Long-term wear or congenitally missing teeth can also call for replacement. Besides restoring function, appearance is often important. A well-fitting replacement can improve chewing and boost confidence.

Treatment options

There are several ways to replace missing teeth. For complete tooth loss a full denture is often chosen, while a partial denture may suit cases of partial loss. A framework denture with a metal base gives extra support from the remaining teeth and therefore greater stability. For even more retention, an implant-retained denture can be used, which fixes firmly in place while remaining removable.

Our guidance

Even when we do not carry out the replacement ourselves, we remain involved. We help with the initial assessment, explain the options clearly and make sure you are prepared to make an informed choice. We also coordinate with other care providers where needed and remain available for follow-up and additional care. You can rely on a process in which you are supported at every step.

Aftercare and longevity

Good aftercare is essential to the success of any denture or restoration. We discuss how to maintain the denture and schedule regular checks to monitor fit and function. If changes occur in your jaw or the restoration wears, we can intervene or adjust in time. This helps keep your mouth healthy and functional, with a replacement that matches your needs.
