Patients' rights
As a patient at Dovident you are entitled to care that is carried out carefully, respectfully and transparently. We think it is important that you are well informed about your rights, so you can remain in control of your oral health and treatment pathway.
Information and consent
You always have the right to clear information about your oral health and the proposed treatment. Only when you are properly informed can you give informed consent. You may refuse treatments or ask for alternatives. We always take the time to answer questions and explain your options.
Access to your records
You have the right to view your own dental record. If you would like a copy or want the record transferred to another care provider, this can be arranged on request. You may also ask for incorrect information to be corrected. We handle such requests carefully and within the statutory time limit.
Privacy and confidentiality
All Dovident staff are bound by confidentiality. Data is only shared with other care providers if it is necessary for your treatment and you have given consent. We follow the GDPR and KNMT guidelines on privacy and record keeping.
Complaints and second opinion
If you are unhappy about something, we would like to hear about it. Initially we will try to find a solution together. If we are unable to resolve the issue, you can contact the KNMT complaints procedure to which we are affiliated. You also always have the right to request a second opinion from another dentist.
