CBCT scanner officially commissioned at Dovident dental practice

Dovident dental practice has expanded its diagnostic capabilities with the commissioning of its CBCT scanner. The required licence was granted on 22 April, allowing the system to be brought into clinical use immediately.

The practice has installed a NewTom VG-One, an advanced 3D imaging system capable of producing highly detailed images of teeth, jaws and surrounding anatomical structures. The approval marks the completion of a licensing process that lasted more than five months.

The addition of CBCT technology provides significant benefits for complex diagnosis and treatment planning. The scanner can be used for implant dentistry, endodontic assessment, oral surgery, wisdom tooth evaluation and other situations where conventional dental radiographs do not provide sufficient information.

For patients, this means advanced imaging can now be carried out within the practice itself. This allows investigations and treatment planning to be completed more efficiently and reduces the need for referrals to external imaging centres.

The introduction of the CBCT scanner reflects Dovident dental practice's commitment to modern dentistry and evidence-based diagnostics. The technology supports both general dental care and the implant dentistry services that have recently become available within the practice.

In addition to serving the practice's own patients, Dovident dental practice can now also accept referrals from other dentists for CBCT imaging. This further strengthens the availability of advanced dental diagnostics in The Hague and the surrounding region.
